Victor Arroyo was born in Bronx, New York, and later move to Buffalo, New York at the of 7 years old. He began playing organized basketball a 7th grade, where he became the school team captain for the school. He loved basketball so much he was always around it. He went to practice at local community center like (West Side Community Services, Areese Matters, Beecher Boys and Girls Club and the place he calls home “The Belle Center”). He was influence by coaches Fred Schumacher, Darrell Barber, and Stephan Rogers, where each coach demanded leadership on the court and off the court. He Entered Lafayette High School in 2003, where he started every game for the varsity basketball team. He eclipsed 1059 Career Point and 829 Career Assist, where he became the All Time Assist Leader. He was a 3 time All LEAGUE and made 4th Team All Western New York Player Senior Year. He went to Buffalo State College and played basketball for 2 years and is continuing to finish school. He Also Played Semi Pro. He’s Now Giving Back To the Belle Center by Coaching “The More than Hoop Program.”

Mario Williams, a Buffalo Native, is an assistant coach for the Buffalo 716ers. While growing up Mario took on a strong desire to play basketball, following family members’ footsteps. After graduating from Cardinal O’Hara High School, Mario’s passion for basketball made a transition from wanting to be a player, to learning how to coach the game. Mario’s first shot at coaching was for his grade school, Our Lady of Black Rock School (Buffalo, N.Y.). While studying the sport business at Medaille College, Mario interned with St. Peter’s St. Paul’s Grammar School (Williamsville, N.Y.) basketball team. After assisting the Varsity basketball team for 2 years, he then went on to coaching AAU, with the Buffalo Storm. Mario received his Bachelor’s Degree from Medaille College, in the studies of Sport Management, in 2013. After graduating, he had the opportunity to assist his alma mater, with coaching the Junior Varsity basketball team.
