Former 716ers player inks deal with Club Deportes Castro

Club Deportes Castro (Liga Nacional) agreed terms with 31-year old American guard Robert McKiver (191-84, college: Houston, agency: Patmos International). He played last summer at Gaiteros in Venezuelan LPB league. In 20 games he had 13.9ppg, 1.9rpg, 1.8apg and 1.1spg. McKiver also played at 716ers in U.S. semi-pro league PBL that season. In 7 games he recorded very impressive stats: 20.3ppg, 3.0rpg, 4.7apg and 1.3spg.

In 2008 he was drafted by Austin Toros (D-League) in first round (16th overall). McKiver attended University of Houston and it will be his eighth season in pro basketball.

The list of the past achievements is quite long as among others his team won Morocco Throne Cup in 2012. McKiver was selected to DiGiorno College All-Star Game back in 2008 and 2010. He is quite experienced player. McKiver has played also professionally in Argentina (Quilmes Mar del Plata), Cyprus (Ydra Asfalistiki ENAD Agios Dometios), France, Germany (Saar-Pfalz Braves), Greece (Gymnastikos Olympia Larissas), Mexico (Algodoneros), Turkey (Final Genclik), Uruguay (Tabare), D-League (Sioux Falls Skyforce and Austin Spurs), Morocco (ASS Sale).
